Rice has been and still is the staple food for Indonesians and most of the Southeast
Asian people.
Seen as a divine gift from God, rice is prepared, grown, and harvested by people with great
care.
In Indonesia alone, farmers made up the majority of the population, and since 1988,
they have been able to contribute one very important thing to the country : the ability to meet Indonesia’s own
basic need for rice.
